Are you working from home? Are you experiencing neck pain?
Neck pain is a common problem we see in the clinic, affecting up to 70% of individuals at some point during their life.
Neck pain can be constant or intermittent and it may be felt in the middle of your neck, on one side of your neck or it can spread across the shoulders and upper back.
Occasionally neck pain can trigger headaches, or other symptoms that can radiate into your arm including tingling or numbness.
⁉️ What causes neck pain?
Neck pain can occur due to different reasons, some of which include:
➡️ Arthritis
➡️ Sprains (e.g., from a motor vehicle accident, a fall or from a sporting injury)
➡️Strains (heavy arm use, repetitive arm movements or overhead work, posture/ergonomic)
➡️ Acute wry neck (when you wake up with pain and limited neck movement)
💡 What will physiotherapy do to help?
➡️ Hands on treatment
➡️ Education on ergonomics, posture and pain management
